ATLAS FLOORCARE TILE CLEANING PROCESS

STEP 1. PROJECT WALKTHROUGH.

We start each project by walking the areas needing to be cleaned with the client. This gives us an opportunity to determine the precise solution for your unique cleaning need, as well as go over any areas that you feel need specific attention (pet mishaps, odors, staining, etc). By walking the project with you, we are able to address any concerns, as well as establish expectations for the project's completion.

STEP 2. PROTECTING AREAS THAT AREN'T BEING CLEANED.

Oftentimes, the items or areas that need cleaning are surrounded by surfaces that can get damaged if left unprotected. Whether it's the use of moving blankets to cover an entryway or specific surface, or corner guards that protect paint and trim from our vacuum hoses. Have a couch or item that needs to be moved in order to clean? Rest assured that, by using professional grade furniture sliders, your wood or stone floors won't be scratched in the process of cleaning.

STEP 3. DRY MOPPING.

The first cleaning step in all solid floor surface floor cleaning. Prior to applying our tile specific pre-sprays, we utilize a dry microfiber mop to remove and surface debris that could potentially scratch or damage your flooring during the remaining cleaning processes. An easy step, but a very important one in ensuring that we don't harm your flooring during the cleaning process.

STEP 4. PRE-CONDITIONING.

Once your tile surface has been dry mopped and prepped for cleaning, we address any necessary areas of need (loose/missing grout, potential permanent grout stains, etc) before moving to on to treating the entire cleaning surface with our tile specific pre-spray conditioner. Our pre-sprays are safe for pets as well as children and are specifically designed to breakdown built up dirt and grime, in a safe way, as we prepare to mechanically agitate the cleaning area.

STEP 5. AGITATION.

We utilize our CRB (counter rotating brush) machine in the mechanical agitation process. This step uses thousands of brush bristles, rotating in different directions, to break away stubborn grime from your solid surface, while our tile specific pre-spray starts to emulsify everything into a removable liquid.

STEP 6. HIGH PRESSURE RINSING.

Most cleaning agents (pre-spray, spotters, etc.) leave residue on the tile if not properly neutralized after cleaning, a step often overlooked by bargain cleaners. This residue tends to attract new dirt/debris and causes newly cleaned floors to become dirty quicker. We utilize an acid rinse that gently removes any leftover cleaning agents and preps your tile surface for the sealing process.

STEP 7. DRYING/SEALING.

Upon completion of the cleaning process, we use specialized fans that face down to provide maximum air movement to the surface of the floor. Once dry, we are able to apply the appropriate sealer, based on the type of surface as well as the size of the grout lines. Because grout joints are porous, they are more apt to soak up liquid messes and can be permanently stained. Applying sealer upon cleaning, provides a barrier of protection for the grout, allowing your grout joints to repel liquid spills long enough for you to remove the spill before it has time to soak into the grout surface.
